  • Four million fans will attend a festival or outdoor event in the UK this summer. They are aiming for a record-breaking year.

  • Festival Republic will pledge to use renewable power grids for three summer event stages. The initiative behind the grids is through the organization Music Declares Emergency.

  • UK National Health Service employees were offered discounted concert tickets to Ed Sheeran's concert at Hampden Park in Glasgow, only to learn that the allotment for staff was canceled for undisclosed reasons. Fans that could attend the show hit gridlock traffic upon egress; the event delays were due to a lack of police assistance and public transportation options.

  • Strawberries & Creem festival 2022 restricted Lil Wayne's access to the event. This was due to having a criminal offense reported within 12 months.

Canadian Relief 

  • Canadian campaign #ForTheLoveofLIVE is looking to provide funding for venues struggling to recover post-pandemic.

  • Ottawa Blues Fest has been granted $9.8 million in funding to help boost the local economy through their multi-day festival.

  • Tommy Lee had to end his first reunion performance due to broken ribs.

  • The Rolling Stones postponed their most recent concert because Mick Jagger tested positive for Covid.
